Welcome to HanapKita (the “App”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App, whether as a Service Seeker (customer) or a Service Provider (vendor). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. About the App
HanapKita is a service discovery and communication platform that connects individuals looking for services (such as home services, personal care, repairs, and similar offerings) with independent service providers in their local area.
HanapKita does not provide the services itself and is not a party to any agreement between Service Seekers and Service Providers.
2. Eligibility
By using the App, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old, or
- You have permission from a parent or legal guardian
Service Providers confirm that they are legally allowed to offer their services in their area.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your information and for all activities under your account.
3.2 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Provide false or misleading information
- Harass, scam, or deceive other users
- Circumvent the App to harm other users
4. Service Providers
Service Providers:
- Act as independent individuals or businesses
- Are solely responsible for the services they offer
- Must ensure accuracy of their profile information
HanapKita does not guarantee the quality, legality, or completion of any service.
5. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations (MVP)
5.1 Bookings
Bookings and service arrangements are made directly between the Service Seeker and Service Provider, usually via third-party communication platforms (e.g., phone or messaging apps).
5.2 Payments
- Payments are made outside of the App
- HanapKita does not process, collect, or hold payments
5.3 Cancellations & Disputes
- Cancellation policies are agreed upon between the Service Seeker and Provider
- HanapKita is not responsible for refunds, no-shows, or service disputes
6. Walk-in Services
Some Service Providers may allow walk-in or in-person visits.
Users acknowledge that:
- Walk-in services are arranged independently
- HanapKita does not supervise physical interactions
- Users are responsible for their own safety and judgment
7. Ratings, Reviews, and Feedback
Users may submit reviews or ratings based on their experience.
You agree that:
- Feedback must be honest and respectful
- False, abusive, or defamatory reviews may be removed
HanapKita does not guarantee the accuracy of reviews.
8. Verification Disclaimer
Any verification or badge shown in the App is for informational purposes only and does not represent a guarantee of skill, trustworthiness, or service quality.
Users should conduct their own due diligence.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- HanapKita is not liable for injuries, losses, damages, or disputes
- We are not responsible for actions or omissions of Service Providers or Seekers
Use of the App is at your own risk.
10. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your data.
11. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Remove content or listings without prior notice
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
