HanapKita — Data Deletion Instructions
If you wish to delete your HanapKita account and all associated personal data, follow the steps below inside the HanapKita mobile app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to request account deletion

Log in to your account
Open the HanapKita app and sign in with your registered account.

Go to the Accounts tab
Tap the "Accounts" tab in the bottom navigation bar.

Open Settings
Tap "Settings" on the Accounts screen.

Delete Account
Scroll down and tap "Delete Account". Follow the on-screen confirmation prompts to permanently delete your account and data.
Important — Stores must be removed first
Your account cannot be deleted if you still have a store listed under it. Please delete your store listing first before proceeding with account deletion.
Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently and immediately removed from our systems:
- Your account profile (name, email address, profile photo)
- Login credentials and authentication tokens
- Saved favorites and preferences
- Reviews and ratings you have submitted
- Any store listings associated with your account (if removed prior to deletion)
- Device and session data linked to your account
Data that may be retained
Some data may be retained for a limited period after deletion for legal, security, or operational reasons:
- Transaction and billing records — retained for up to 7 years as required by Philippine tax and financial regulations.
- Abuse and safety logs — retained for up to 90 days to investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics — non-identifiable usage data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.
After the applicable retention period, all remaining data is permanently deleted.
